From sharing meals with fellow trainees and watching the sunset over the ocean to connecting with the warmth and hospitality of the local community, the island naturally becomes part of your learning experience.
One day each week is intentionally left open to rest, explore, or enjoy the many experiences available throughout Gili Air and the surrounding islands.
During your stay, you may enjoy:
• Sunrise and sunset beach walks
• Healthy cafés and fresh Indonesian cuisine

For more than 17 years, Brea has guided students through the study and practice of yoga, meditation, breathwork, and conscious living.
Her teaching integrates traditional yogic wisdom with modern understanding, creating an educational experience that is both comprehensive and deeply relevant.
Her approach is rooted in practice, observation, and direct experience. Brea encourages students to become deeply aware of themselves, trust their intuition, and allow wisdom to emerge through consistent practice rather than simply acquiring more knowledge. She believes that the greatest teacher is experience itself.
Whether students aspire to become professional yoga teachers or simply wish to deepen their personal practice, Brea is committed to creating a supportive, challenging, and inspiring learning environment where each individual is encouraged to grow in both knowledge and self-awareness.
As the founder of Ma'at Yoga Academy, E-RYT 500, Yoga Alliance Lead Trainer (RYS 200 & RYS 300), and YACEP, Brea has mentored students from around the world, helping them develop the knowledge, confidence, and presence to teach with authenticity while building a lifelong relationship with yoga.

Her approach to teaching integrates themes rooted in ancient philosophy that are accessible and relevant to everyday life to help students reconnect with themselves, reduce stress, and foster a deeper sense of inner peace. For Christina, yoga is more than a physical practice—it's a way of living with greater awareness, compassion, and authenticity. She believes that each practice offers an opportunity to slow down, listen inward, and build resilience through both movement and stillness.
Christina recognizes the importance of rest, energetic balance, and holistic well-being. Through her guided practices and teachings, Christina hopes to inspire others to embrace yoga as a lifestyle that nurtures the body, calms the mind, and supports a more balanced and intentional way of life.

Ma'at is the ancient Egyptian principle of truth, balance, harmony, and living in alignment with the natural order of life. It reminds us that wisdom is not something we acquire—it is something we uncover through awareness, experience, and the willingness to observe ourselves honestly.
At Ma'at Yoga Academy, becoming a teacher is about more than learning postures or memorizing techniques. It is about developing the presence, discernment, and confidence to teach from lived experience while inspiring others to discover their own inner wisdom.
Our teacher trainings combine traditional yogic teachings with modern education, creating a comprehensive and immersive learning experience that prepares students not only to teach yoga, but to embody its principles in everyday life.
